Apparatus Feet
Why is it so important to have high quality feet for electronic equipment and speakers? Very weak currents are transported in the electronic equipment and even the relatively frail vibrations that are produced by the transformator and sound currents are impacting on those weak currents. In a CD player you should also take into account that if the reading is incorrect, the correction circuits have to work which then produce distortion. In a speaker it is even more obvious how important it is that the speaker box is free from movement, so that the elements generate the sound they are supposed to generate. The signal that each element is supposed to generate should be from just that element. It is also important to note that the speaker box is not supposed to move at all. It has to stand like a rock so that the energy that comes out is pure sound and not a sound of the recoil from the speaker box. Imagine that you try to push a car on a frozen lake. If you are not standing firmly you will end up going backwards.
Catfoot and Lionfoot have been the base of our range for a long time. The work with developing a foot that isolates and stops vibrations from the floor and benches, and at the same time drain vibrations from the equipments has taken us several years of hard work. Now we have take a new step and introduced the Lynxfeet. Lynxfeet both drain and isolate significant better than our Catfoot and is in our opinion one of the most effective fot on the market.
Vibrations in the foundation wander through the foot to a sand filled tunnel-construction where they are steered towards the sides and transformed into heat. Airborne vibrations and micro vibrations, which are produced by the electric equipment, are channelled down through the sand to the sides separately, so that they do not interfere with the vibrations from the foundation.
